Today at work I finished the voice over for the video band saw orientation.
At least the first attempt.
Now we can start creating a story line with the audio and start creating visuals.
I am starting to realize the gravity of my dission to digitize the safety organization program I started working on in 2000 at CU boulder Dept. Art and Art History in the wood shop.
It is a huge learning curve.
It is a lot of work.
It feels really right.
I truly believe it will serve the students.
Tonight we are having corn beef.
Take the contents of the bag O Corn Beef purchase from the super market
Put in a dutch oven with about three inches or so of water- just don't let it go dry- with the contents of the brine from the bag, the spice package, one onion, one grapefruit both quartered, and one cinamon stick.
Baked in the oven for a couple of hours, covered.
Drop in some potatoes at the end and we had steamed cauliflower with garden made pesto for a veg.

Learned a bit about digital cameras, dinner, some seeds
Well today I learned how wonderful learning is.
I asked a coluge of mine some 20 plus years my junior questions about how my digital camera works and shooting strategies he has learned.
I have a MFA in photo from 1985 but I worked with the practices of silver based processes and drifted away over the years from the medium.
I now feel I have control again.
I came home and practiced my new info in my kitchen while making dinner.
The images aren't much to look at, just a diseray kitchen but they represent a door reopening to me.
Dinner tonight is hamburger gravey on mashed potatoes with frozen corn
Another fruitful day in the production of the Band Saw video, mostly worked on the voice over and script.

Chilie, Martha, Video, Maura worms and helper, annie song
Today went well
Started with a bit of trauma this morning because Maura needed some gummy worms for a counting jar at school and we over slept an hour. Rebecca saved the day!
Had a good email exchange with Martha. We talked a bit about losing Garison and I gave her some advice on how to get electrical from a light track system for an installation she is doing.
Good day at work . Alyssa and I made great progress on the scripting for the Band saw safety orientation video. She came up with a good system of using text edit, we think next time we should recorded just sound of me doing the safety orientation on the fly, then use stills to create a story line. Perhaps then use Power Point to develop the storyline further.
We also did a wee bit of recording in the sound booth for the voice over.
I picked up Maura on the way home and she announced that at school she made a news year resolution to help me cook every night because ' I work so hard.'
I love cooking with Maura.
We are having red chile with beef, beans, and rice and dinner salad.
Chile recipe for 6ct
1 lb ground beef
1 large sweet onion
bit of olive oil and kosher salt
Pinto or kidney beans canned
chopped canned tomatoes
Some jalapeno chilies if you wish- just a bit
3 tablespoon mild red chili, 1 table garlic powder, 2 tablespoon cumin, 1 tablespoon oregano, small bit perhaps a teaspoon of turmeric
A bit concerned about how hard Rebecca is working.
No garden work.
While making dinner with Maura I finished the bones for Annie Song.

Ordered seed, Maddie went to winter trip
This Morning I dropped Maddie of at the Golden Campus Montissori, Maddie had a good laugh when I drove in circles figuring out how to get there. Could have be because She jabbered non stop, because She was so excited.
It was a bit teary for me, Dad has had to learn to start letting go of his first born. It's all good!
Worked on Band saw video at work- created time line by just going through the training real time recorded by video camera. Must remember to change recorded format as low memory as possible next time.
Dinner
Fresh pasta with sweet Italian sausage and home canned tomato sauce Tuscan style, add sage and rosemary to sauce, with a greens and grapefruit salad.
Today I ordered the following seeds on line
